School is in Session

Another Summer has come and gone in a blink of an eye. Caraline, Will and Elizabeth returned to school this morning with a mix of excitement and hesitation. They certainly had fun picking out their First Day outfits and packing lunches...but those joys will dimish quickly.

Will - Freshman at SHS

Ellie - 7th Grade at LCJSMS

Caraline - Junior at SHS

Caraline and Will rode to school with Rory and Coby. I am so spoiled having a driver right around the corner. Rory even stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the first morning to treat her passengers. Ellie walked with Tia and they both requested I re-take the picture of them walking down the street together. Love them!

Off they go!

Caraline is definitely nervous about Junior year as it's very important on the college path. She didn't opt for a Study Hall this year instead wanting to continue in Chorus and requesting two electives: Foods & Nutrition and Exercise Science. She got into both which is exciting. And her ACL recovery is helping with the Study Hall as she's forced to take one since she can't participate in PE.

Will qualified for Honors Physics and Honors Geometry...a tough course load when adjusting to High School but I am certain her can handle the extra work and pressure. He seems to have acclimated well after 4 days. He plays soccer outside at lunch with friends and likes the bustling hallways and the music played over the speakers on Fridays.

Ellie says all her teachers are really nice. She has one good friend in 6 out of 8 classes which makes her happy.
